Already passionate whern she younger by the drawing and the painting, nothing and nobody could stop the utter determination of Thérèse Massot.

After having worked in chambers of lawyers, taking care of her children, the call of the brushes was too strong... Liberate"d by the family's constraints, Thérèse has devoted her all energiy with the palette in her band to the painting.

Singular artist, Thérèse Massot offers us a work without a compulsory way of reading it, where the soul expresses itself plainly, outside the outlines and prefabricated schools of thought.
No doubt surrealist in a of her work, we can feel trough the chosen themes, a symbolic approach.

On the occasion of many trips, notably in Sicily, she will discover the lights that are inspired her by creating ligted landscapes and mysterious unicorn...

Undedniably, the artist uses and exploits the possibilities of the deepness of her favourite matter, the oil, laid gently with the brush and more rarely with the knife, the qartist avoids huge thickness, giving all her attention to the drawing style.

The palette, although varied, mainly mixed is used without offending but charming.

Painting with a large finest of tone, she restores the atmosphere of the place, the mystery of a look, the light of a landscape...

A set of nudes demonstrates a well done drawning where the matter is scattered with delicacy. The rhytmical curves get on well with the softness of the nuances.

The sculpture is not left behind... A lion made with patina terracotta wil not be disowned by Rodin...
As a whole series of nudes in natural terracota...

Here is a nice and successful work of art, results of art, results of the artist's work, who onla finds the peace in the insatiable search of authentic artistic values .
