Germaine Cousin, born in 1579 in Pibrac (Haute-Garonne) died in 1601. Become very quickly orphan of
mother and her father being remarié, it was rejected by his mantle. Germaine kept the sheep in edge of the
forest of Bouconne. She liked to take part in the morning mass, was good for the poor and could speak
about God. In spite of the three marvellous facts that the tradition brings back (miracle of the flowers, of the
crossing of Coubet and the stopper rod) its holiness remained hidden. One day of December 1644, while
opening in the church fall it from the Cousin family to bury there a relationship, one discovered the body of a
young person-girl preserved perfectly. Its neck was marked scars and its deformed right hand. Some
inhabitants recognized Germaine Cousin. For four centuries, the lord has not ceased granting its thanks to
those which call upon the small shepherdess of Pibrac. The Church béatifié Germaine Cousin in 1854 and
declared it holy in1867.
